MS General Surgery
Dr. Deepak M. Ranade has completed his M.Ch (Magister Chirurgiae) Neurosurgery in 1994 from University of Bombay (K.E.M. Hospital). He topped the University with a gold medal. Other Qualifications: M.S. General Surgery from University of Pune (B.J. Medical College) in 1991. M.B.B.S. General Medicine & Surgery from University of Pune (B.J. Medical College) in 1986. Work Experience: He is “Professor and Head of Department” of Neurosurgery at D.Y. Patil Medical College, Pimpri. Working as Post Graduate Guide for M.Ch (Neurosurgery) students. He worked as an Honorary Consultant Neurosurgeon at K.E.M. Hospital Pune (Feb. 1996 to 2000) and performed around 300 major neurosurgeries independently. He performed brain and spine surgeries since 1996. Presentation and Fellowships: He has done a fellowship in Endoscopic Spine Surgery at Phoenix, Arizona and is one of the very few spine surgeons who are proficient with this revolutionary technique. He also has done a fellowship in minimally invasive spine surgery in Seoul, South Korea. He has presented papers at National and International Conferences. He writes regularly in the Speaking Tree column of the Times Of India and has so far contributed more than 25 articles in this prestigious column. Dr. Ranade is a Consultant Neurosurgeon and spine surgeon attached to Krishna Hospital and can be consulted by prior appointment. He is also the consultant Neurosurgeon at Shashwat Hospital, Karve Road, and Sanjeevan Hospital, Karve Road.His consulting rooms are at Sanjeevan Hospital, Karve road and is available for consultations between 3-5 pm on all working days, except Tuesday.

As executive director of Bellwether International, Honourable Rachel Miner works directly with government leaders, faith and belief leaders, and other nongovernmental organizations to address the growing human rights violations that affect groups such as the Uighurs in China and Rohingya in Myanmar. One project included the delivery of over 40,000 books, school supplies, and clothing for implementation of a literacy program empowering children displaced because of their religion in Nigeria. She has worked extensively on public policy in the United States Senate and most recently in the Utah State Legislature, helping to draft and facilitate support for three separate bills that ensure protection to sexual assault survivors. Honourable Rachel Miner intends to pursue a graduate degree in economics and then attend law school. Brian holds a doctorate in quantitative sociology from Penn State and is author of scores of academic articles and books. He is former chair of the World Economic Forum’s global council on the role of faith and a speaker at Davos. Brian was previously a senior researcher and director of international data at the Pew Research Center in Washington, DC. He lived and worked in China, Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the former USSR, where he was instrumental in setting up the first western-style business school in the Soviet Union. Brian’s work centers on “building” religious freedom for all (including those without a religious faith) as opposed to advocating for religious freedom. Read what a builder’s approach is here. Brian’s recent widely reported research finds that religion contributes $1.2 trillion to the U.S. economy annually, more than the combined revenues of the top 10 technology U.S. companies including Apple, Amazon and Google. Brian is also global chairman of Dare to Overcome. Dare to Overcome’s signature event is the Global Business & Intercultural Peace Award. Held first in Rio de Janeiro (2016) with the support of Brazilian President Michel Temer, followed by South Korea (2018) under UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s patronage, Tokyo (2021) with former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama’s active support, and Washington DC (2022) with American Airlines, the world’s largest carrier, becoming our partner. Ms. Bani Dugal is the Principal Representative of the Bahá’í International Community to the UN. As part of the community of international NGOs at the UN since 1994, she is currently serving on the Steering Committee of the NGO Working Group on the Security Council. She has served as President of the NGO Committee on Freedom of Religion or Belief, as co-facilitator of the NGO Working Group on UN Access, co-facilitator of the GEAR campaign (Gender Equality Architecture Reform), Chair of the NGO Committee on the Status of Women, and Chair of the Global Forum of the NGO Committee on UNICEF and member of the Steering Committee of the NGO Committee on UNICEF’s Working Group on Girls, Convener of the NGO Committee on UNIFEM and Convener of the Advocates for African Food Security. Ms. Dugal holds a Master’s degree (LL.M) in Environmental Law from Pace University School of Law, New York, and a law degree (LL.B) from the University of Delhi, India. She has authored published articles, statements, and papers. Prior to relocating to the U.S. in 1988, she practiced law before the Supreme Court of India.

Justice Roshan S. Dalvi was born on 6th November 1953. She completed B.Com in 1973 (with Specialisation in Business Management) and LL.M. in 1978 from University of Bombay. She was appointed Fellow of Government Law College and awarded Merit Scholarship of University of Bombay in (LL.M). She had practiced as a Counsel on the Original Side of the Bombay High Court from August 1976 to September 1989 in Civil and Corporate matters. She was visiting faculty at The Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and Narsee Monjee institute of Management Studies for Corporate Law between 1979 and 1989. She was appointed as Judge, Bombay City Civil and Sessions Court in September, 1989. She had presided over Civil and Criminal matters and Special Court, CBI, and Special Court MPID for anti-corruption and investor fraud cases. She served as Principal Judge, Family Court, Mumbai from July 2004 to December 2004. She was selected to participate in the Judicial Training Programme in Gender and Law at the University of Warwick, Coventry, UK meant for Indian Judicial Officers under the Indo-British Judicial Sensitization programme conducted by the British Coucil in Conjunation with National Judicial Academy and has since been a member of the Association of British Scholars (ABS), Mumbai Chapter for undertaking various socio-legal programmes. She had conducted workshops/Colloquia as Resource Person/Trainer for Judges and Lawyers on Gender Laws, Court and Cases Management and Alternative Disputes Resolution (ADR). She was elevated as Judge to the Bombay High Court Bench in June, 2005 and appointed as a Judge of the Special Court (TORTS), Bombay w.e.f. 19th November,2012. She retired on 6th November, 2015.

She is the founder and incumbent director of ‘Women in Security Conflict Management and Peace (WISCOMP)’. A former Member of the National Security Advisory Board, she was awarded the Padma Shri in 2007. Dr. Gopinath studied Political Science at LSR College for Women. After doing her Masters from University of Massachusetts, she obtained her Ph.D. from University of Delhi. Earning a Fulbright Scholarship, she also did her post-doctoral research at Georgetown University. She started her career as a faculty member at JNU and later joined LSR College for Women. She served as its Principal from 1988 to 2014. Besides numerous papers, she has written four books.
