Dr. VijayKumar L. Dharurkar

Dr. VijayKumar L. Dharurkar, born in 1954 at Omerga, Dist Osmanabad, Maharashtra is a son of freedom fighter Laxmikantrao Dharurkar. Mr. Laxmikantrao Dharurkar was a personal secretary of Swami Ramanand Teerth, President of then Hyderabad State Congress. 

He has participated in Daimabad Excavation 1976-1979, report of which has been published by Archeological Survey of India. He has made an outstanding discovery of Late Harappan site at Varsus (Tq, Sindhdkeheda Dist: Dhule in Tapti valley, which was the first evidence of Indus Vally culture in South India. (IAR 1978-79) He joined HPT/Bytco College, Nashik Road, Nashik, as a Lecturer in History.

 

He has been awarded The Jaina Vidyabhushan Award in 2009. His papers on Ellora Jaina caves were published in 3rd Internatiaonal Jaina Conference in 1985 and Jain Manjiri, Canada, USA 2008. His papers have also been published in Cajac Review, Waste Management Journal USA, Theory Culture society, UK. He has received a best paper award in Management Conference organized by Mumbai University in December, 2008.

 

In 1980 he joined the Department of Journalism, Shivaji University, Kolhapur as Lecturer and Head and completed a project on Marathi Press in 19th Century Maharashtra He had the fortune to be associated with the Department of Journalism in Shivaji University, at its inception. He also worked as a member of Senate. In 1982, he joined Marathwada University, Department of Journalism (presently as Department of Mass Communication & Journalism, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University). In 1991 he was selected as Reader. From 1998 he is working as Professor and Head. In 1994 he was honored with the UGC Career Award as Young Scientist and submitted a project on "Mass Communication Potentials of Folk Media in Maharashtra". In 2001 he has been assigned a major research project by UGC on the topic, "I. T. Application for Rural Development". He has also completed a detail report of the same in book form.

Dr. N. M. KONDAP

Dr. N. M. Kondap is working with Rajasthani Sammelans’ Higher Education as Director General having two institutes namely:

  1. Deviprasad Goenka ManagementCollege of Media Studies (DGMC) –Mumbai

  2. Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management Studies (DSIMS)- Mumbai

Associated with Kohinoor Business School, Mumbai as Director General and  CORE International Institute of Higher Education FZE, RAK, UAE as President & Chief Executive. 

Former Vice Chancellor and Professor of Marketing at SVKM’s NMIMS (Deemed-to-be-University), Mumbai. Higher Education Forum felicitated Dr. Kondap with the prestigious Dr Suresh Ghai Memorial Award towards Outstanding Management Education Leadership on 5th September 2015.

FICCI Felicitated Dr. Kondap, Co-chair, FICCI Higher Education Committee(2007-08) on 13th November 2013 for Exemplary Leadership and Outstanding Contribution  to Higher Education during  HE Summit 2013,  by the gracious hands of Hon'ble Minister of State for HRD   Dr. Shashi Tharoor  and President- FICCI.

He was the Chairman (WRC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) – (2011 – 2017)

Dr. Kondap has visited universities & Institutes of Higher Education as Chairperson of NAAC accreditation committee. He holds a Masters Degree in Engineering, Masters in Marketing Management from University of Mumbai, and Ph. D.  from University of Pune.

He has more than 27 years of industry experience in companies like ABB, Voltas, Bharat Bijlee, in different capacities, the last being Senior Vice-President (Export & Marketing).

Dr. Kondap has more than 27 years of professional experience in teaching in various Management Institutes. He was the Rotary Chair Professor for Non-profit Organizations of Rotary Club of Bombay West and has made significant contribution towards Social Development.

Mr Leson Azadi

Born in 1956, he is a Metallurgist (NIT/REC Rourkela) by basic educational qualifications, and has had postgraduate studies and research in Education for Development (Colombia) and Sustainable Development (UK). 

For over three decades he has been working in the field of training and education in universal human values, teaching learning methodology, leadership for change, fostering youth’s personal development and social progress, and life skills . He has conducted extensive educational tours to 20 other countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and Australasia and offered workshops and courses.

Since 1986 he has been the Director of the Baha’i Academy, www.bahaiacademy.org, Panchgani, which is a Recognized Institution of Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

The Academy initiated a programme on “Education in Universal Human Values” for institutions of higher learning in the year 2000, training college teachers as well as post graduate and under graduate students of various faculties and Administrative Staff Members of colleges and about two scores of universities. He has won the support of two award winning international collaborators in Colombia and Russia for this Programme. The focus of this action oriented Programme is building capabilities for personal development and contributing to social transformation. Since year 2000 the Programme has been launched in the affiliated colleges of over six universities. Lesan Azadi has been closely involved with the planning, course design, curriculum development, and implementation processes of these courses a number of which have been approved as University Courses by Shivaji University and YCMOU, and others. The Programme is offered through various modes such as face-to-face, distance, blended and online modes. He has also been intimately involved in the establishment and operation of the Indian Consortium for Educational Transformation, I-CONSENT, Pune, and Param Intervarsity with their headquarters in Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited, Pune, to promote educational transformation and social development.

Lesan Azadi has attended and made presentations at several state, national and international seminars and conferences. Besides a number of course books and curriculum materials, his editorial works include “The Compass”,  “Empowerment” periodicals and “Mentor’s Energizer” digital bulletin and an anthology called “Restructuring Education: A New Paradigm for Creating Futures”, selected works of the eminent educationist Prof. Ram Takwale, “Understanding the Youth and Their Challenges”, “Education in Action, Vol. 1 and 2”.

Lesan Azadi has served on several boards and committees of various universities (as mentioned below), and serve as a Secretary of the Indian Consortium for Educational Transformation.  He is an Indian national and father of two sons.
